The Bod Pod is an innovative way to quickly and accurately measure body mass composition. The egg-shaped capsule calculates the volume of air a person’s body displaces and produces readings previously done through underwater weighing. The enclosed chamber is comfortable and provides a safe environment in which to conduct the stress-free testing. The results are also much more accurate than those derived from other methods of testing. Bod Pod measurements have a variance rating of less than two percentage points, compared to as much as seven points when using calipers.
